Yoga found me when I needed it most, and it continues to shape how I live, move, and teach.

My Journey

I started yoga during a challenging period in my life, when I was struggling with stress and anxiety. From my very first class, I felt a profound sense of calm and knew I wanted to go deeper. Over time, yoga became more than just a way to cope, it became a lifestyle that grounds and inspires me every day.

In 2022, I completed my 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training at UW Recreation and began teaching there after. I quickly fell in love with the supportive community and continued teaching beyond graduation. Stepping into the role of teaching not only deepened my understanding of yoga philosophy and technique, but also gave me the space to share my passion with a community that values mindful movement.

Since then, I’ve taught in a wide range of settings, including private sessions, group classes, workplaces, and even internationally. No matter the format, my intention remains the same: to offer grounded, breath-focused guidance that helps people connect with themselves through mindful movement.

In 2023, I joined the UW Recreation Yoga Teacher Training program as a teacher trainer, focusing on sequencing design, posture labs, and pranayama. In 2024, driven by a commitment to continued growth, I traveled solo to Nepal to complete my 300-hour advanced training. I am now an E-RYT® 200, RYT® 500 with Yoga Alliance.

Yoga continues to be my anchor - a steady presence I return again and again. I hope to help you discover what anchors you.

My Teaching

I teach Vinyasa yoga, Power yoga, Hatha yoga, Yin yoga and Pranayama. My classes focus on alignment and cultivating a balanced breath in each posture.

I draw from classical yoga philosophy and emphasize that yoga isn’t just about “making shapes” - it’s about strengthening the body, calming the mind, and sharpening concentration.

I aim to guide students toward a more balanced life through thoughtful sequencing and breath awareness.

Outside the Classroom

I maintain a Mysore-style Ashtanga practice, which helps me stay grounded and cultivate an introspective presence.

On mornings when I’m not practicing Ashtanga, I often explore 108 rounds of Sun Salutations, a meditative flow that helps me move forward with clarity and intention.

Off the mat, I love being outdoors, playing with yoga postures in unexpected places, soaking up nature, or skiing through the mountains in winter. I also find joy in making nourishing food, and caring for my plants - small, everyday rituals that help me stay connected to rhythm and growth, both within and around me.

My Values

Presence

I believe yoga begins with attention. Being present, on the mat and in life, opens the door to awareness, intention and transformation.

Authenticity

I teach from lived experience, not performance. My goal is show up real, not perfect - and create space for others to do the same.

Balance

In every pose and every breath, I seek balance between strength and softness, effort and ease - on the mat and beyond.

Discipline

A consistent practice creates the conditions for growth. I show up with dedication, even when it’s hard - especially when it’s hard.
